The Seven Stages of Garment Care

Our expert team will consider the material, construction and detailing of each garment before recommending the most appropriate treatment, including dry cleaning, laundering or hand cleaning.

1. Detailing

Garments are thoroughly inspected and prepared for cleaning and rejuvenation. This includes identification of fabric type(s) and garment construction techniques, protection or removal of buttons or ornamental detailing, surface surveying to locate, identify and log any marks or imperfections in preparation for stage two.

2. Stain Removal

Performed by professionals using proven traditional and the most advanced modern techniques and drawing from Jeeves’ 40 years of experience in treating specialist textiles.

3. Cleaning

Our expert team will consider the material, construction and detailing of each garment before recommending the most appropriate treatment, including dry cleaning, laundering or hand cleaning. Regardless of the treatment type and care programme your item requires, Jeeves will employ the the finest technology, attentive care and only the purest and greenest of cleaning methods.

4. Hand Finishing

Pressers of the highest standard individually finish your garment to your specific requirements.

5. Minor Repairs

Jeeves attends to loose hems, open seams, loose buttons, missing buttons, etc., so your garment is returned to you looking its very best.

6. Inspection

Every garment is formally inspected in exacting detail to ensure that it is at its very best before being reunited with its owner.

7. Packaging

We make extensive use of tissue, custom hangers and specially designed bags and boxes in order to ensure your garments’ safe return to your wardrobe. As a Royal Warrant holder and environmentally responsible organisation, you can rest assured that we do takes steps to minimise the packaging in areas where quality standards will not be compromised and that we undertake to recycle and minimise waste wherever possible.
