As June arrives in Hong Kong with warmer temperatures and rising humidity many of you are enjoying lighter summer pieces.<br><br>Thank you as always for trusting Jeeves with your treasured garments.<br><br>This month we want to share a striking\u00a0<strong>before and after<\/strong>\u00a0story. A client brought us a beautiful Alaia viscose polyester nylon blend dress that had been put away for many months after a special evening. It looked clean when put away but yellowish-brown patches appeared.<br><br>These were\u00a0<strong>invisible stains<\/strong>. From our experience such stains are often caused by sugary drinks like champagne. The sugars had oxidised over time making them visible and very hard to remove. Although the care label said\u00a0<strong>dry clean only<\/strong>\u00a0our experienced team successfully restored the dress using a gentle wet wash and specialised in-house detergents.<br><br><strong>This shows why it is so important to clean everything properly before storage.<\/strong><br><br>Please remember these simple rules: Always clean garments thoroughly before storing them even if they look clean. Never mix dirty and clean clothes. Remove all plastic covers before long-term storage. Check and rotate your garments regularly and let them air out.
