We have also noticed more garments carrying the W symbol. This indicates professional wet cleaning, not laundry. Wet cleaning uses water and detergents but with carefully controlled chemistry, temperature and gentle mechanical action. Unlike laundry, which soaks and spins and can damage delicate fabrics such as silk and wool, professional wet cleaning avoids abrasive motion and preserves high quality garments.
